I'm baaaack! :)

We have previously booked this vacation from a Cebu Pacific seat sale, August last year. Bo was originally included in our group, but because he went abroad, the plan was changed. At first, I was hesitant to continue my vacation, I was afraid to feel that I will just miss him and be lonely, since this will be my first out of town trip without him, but then Bo urged me to still go since he is sure that I will still have fun even when he's not around. So, I did go. :)

First stop, Cagayan De Oro. :) CDO is the capital of Misamis Oriental and a part of Northern Mindanao. It is known to be the City of Golden Friendship, and yes, it proves us right. :) Cagayanos are friendly and accommodating. Their main language is Bisaya and hearing them use it makes me miss Bo and her mother more (yes, they do speak Bisaya fluently).

We arrived to CDO last March 11 and stayed in GC Suites located at the Grand Central building, Hayes St. CDO town proper.  The hotel is very clean and their interiors are relaxing.

(Some photos were grabbed from their Facebook page.) You may check their Room rates here: GC SUITES

CDO offers a lot of adventures, one would be the famous CDO White water Rafting. We were accomodated by CDO Bugsay Water RaftingBugsay, as what our guide told us means Paddle in Bisaya.  I think they have the cheapest water rafting rate in town. CDO Bugsay offers 4 levels of the rafting adventure, the beginner course package which we chose, will take you to a 12-km stretch of the river with 14 classes of 2-3 rapids.  This is strongly recommended for families or group of friends who are first-timers in water rafting. Minimum of 6pax per raft and costs 700.00 per person. They also told us that the fee will most likely increase within the year, lucky us, we get to experience water rafting for a cheaper price. :)

They fetch us from our hotel around 12nn and the sun is scorching hoooot!!
Sorry for the simangot face, kinakabahan na ko dito, swear! haha! :)
alright here we go! BUGSAY!! :)
When you cross the rapids, the river is very calm and relaxing. The scenery is amazing, you get to see water insects, different kinds of bagging, rock formations, man-made bridges, plus, our guide has a lot of stories, so we never get boring the whole time. haha!
Then there is this big rock which you can climb to do some diving. I swear this is high, mukha lang mababa sa picture. :)
We all jumped, yes, including me! haha! From a calm river, we can hear the rapids as we go near them, dun kami naeexcite. All we can say is woooh, wooooh, woooh! haha! :)
Bugsay team also offers a Photo package, 500.00 per group, wherein one of them follows us and takes pictures and videos of our whole ride.
We started at 2pm and ended around 5:30pm. 14 rapids is equal to one hell of a ride!!!
Thank you to the whole Bugsay Water Rafting team! That was indeed a wonderful and memorable adventure.  And oh, by the way, a rainbow showed up after our ride.
Another check on my bucket list. :)
